Liz made her solo debut with critically acclaimed album ’The Words’. The emotive alt-pop record received positive reviews from The Independent, Clash and Wonderland Magazine and was awarded 4* by the The Times, who heralded “the arrival of a new - but grown up - talent” and made vocal comparisons with Kate Bush and Lana del Rey.
Cass’s musical trajectory has taken many twists and turns. She penned her first song in her teens with Grammy winning producer Fraser T. Smith, spent some 8 years as a Jazz vocalist and went on to co-write and feature as a dance artist with some of electronic music’s finest, racking up over 20 million streams worldwide.
Singles taken from “The Words” proved radio hits on both sides of the Atlantic with support from iHeartRadio, BBC Radio 1 Future Artists and Future Pop, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing. Album opener “Confessional”- co-produced & mixed by David Wrench (Arlo Parks/FKA twigs) - was included in 9 Spotify New Music Fridays and received editorial support from Apple, Deezer and Tidal. Liz was subsequently included in several ‘Rising Star’ lists for 2023.
Her new single "Too Hot" was released 17.08.23 and landed straight onto Spotify UK's New Music Friday with support from Hashtag Magazine, Record Of The Day and her first cover feature and interview in FAULT Magazine. Dazzling with ‘80s disco shimmer, the infectious pop number was co-written with Louis Eliot (Grace Jones/Rialto), produced by Will Dinesen and Teis Zacho and mixed by the Mercury Nominated DARGZ.
Alongside her artist project and songwriting, Liz is an in-demand House DJ, playing regularly in Ibiza and across Europe, as well as residencies at Koko, Arts Club and Stereo in London.
